Saunatimes is coming to Finland!

An official call out:  Seeking a private residence in Finland with a fantastic sauna.

finl-MMAP-mdSaunatimes is coming to Finland April 2014 as part of a delegation of three American authentic sauna enthusiasts.  We wish to engage in a cultural exchange with a Finnish family or individual who has a sauna that makes Finland proud.

We are a delegation of three:

One of our delegates owns two authentic Finnish saunas.  One of his saunas is a monumentally wonderful sauna by the shores of Lake Superior, Minnesota.  Another delegate (myself) also has two authentic Finnish saunas and is saunatimes founder.  Our third delegate is our philanthropic arm.  This gentleman is funding our cultural exchange.  His love of sauna and impassioned generosity is making this trip possible.  Authentic sauna has made such a major, wonderful addition to his health and wellness lifestyle that we are on a quest for him to experience the best sauna in Finland.

As founder of saunatimes, it is my effort to help fulfill our delegation’s purpose:  A trip to Finland to experience authentic sauna in its home country.  We do not need lodging, heck we don’t even need to be fed, though if makkara sausage is served, we will politely and happily accept.

We wish to experience authentic sauna in an iconic Finnish sauna.IMG_0425

  • Wood burning is a necessity.
  • Proximity to Helsinki is preferred.
  • Waterfront sauna is also preferred yet not critical

We will come baring gifts from America.  With enough sleep, we are three pretty fun guys.  We are all married, family men.  We like a couple beers but are well behaved.  We are all professionals.   Neither of us three speak Finnish, but we know how to use hand signals for more or less water on sauna rocks.

Please email Glenn, at saunatimes@gmail.com introducing yourself  and including a short description of your sauna.  We hope to have a sauna or two lined up by the end of February for an April visit.  We are excited.

Kiitos
