Sauna Days 2026: everybody cool and calm

light steam graphic

Sauna Days 2026 brought nearly 300 people together: an incredible evolution from the first gathering in 2019, when about 30 of us showed up for sauna in nature. And like all Sauna Days, we celebrate an environment where everybody is cool and calm.

Fourteen mobile saunas converged around the grounds at Larsmont Cottages, each offering its own interpretation of heat, craftsmanship, and löyly, and the atmosphere from the artisans was remarkably “collaborative.” And this is what we earn when we come together as decent humans, aligned in thermal spirit. This ethos fuels me to continue to foster a sauna culture rooted in generosity and heart.

Throughout the weekend, we were treated to presentations and roundtable discussions at the top of every hour.

Scattered around the grounds, artisan demonstrations and conversations flowed naturally from bench to bench. Larsmont Cottages staff helped create the perfect backdrop with great food, warm hospitality, and a casual environment that encouraged “present moment” living. Wherever you landed—a sauna bench, lakeshore rock, or cold plunge in the crystal-clear lake—that became exactly where you were supposed to be.

There was live music, podcast interviews, an authors series, and incredible heat engineered for the Minnesota tundra—deep, honest heat that reached the bones. Super chill. Free flowing. At Sauna Days, the likes not tapped on a screen, but are in person, and ever present everywhere.
