If you’ re trying to quit smoking, go to a sauna 3 days in a row.

I’ve lost count with the number of people who’ve asked me if this is true… All in the last 24 hours.  Even our 14 year old son just told me about this buzz on the social media wire.

  • Twitter
  • Redditforum
  • Ehow
  • How2quit.com

Well, yesterday’s news is today’s fish and chips newspaper.

Well, here’s my take:

  • Sauna, like other forms of exercise and sweat, helps rid toxins from the body.
  • Nicotine is a toxin.
  • Getting rid of Nicotine may in fact get rid of the physical addictive qualities thereof.

Ergo, henceforth, this sauna enthusiasts will not argue against sauna therapy as a way to get rid of cigarette smoking addiction.

Now that we have that covered, can sauna help me with my to do list?  ABSOLUTELY!  check this out.

  1. Just search the internet for “Does sweat remove toxins from your body” and you will get your answer. HINT: It does not support this post.

  2. Your fat is what holds toxins; holding toxins away from primary organs is the roll of adipose tissue (fat). It also keeps us warm and provides extra energy. At the temp of 135 fat is “melted” or warmed and will release the toxins in it. As your skin is the largest organ of the body it allows toxins to release. In fact, if you can’t eliminate efficiently you will eliminate thru the skin weather known or unknown to you. This is why bodies smell….whats in them…..coming out…..so….this post is true….infrared saunas can help as they work differently than straight heat.
