Fall saunas: every new low is a new high

Are you feeling fall saunas, where every new low is a new high?

fall saunas bring cooling temperatures

Most of us aren’t ruled by thermometers. We have taken enough saunas to know when it feels right in the hot room. And our cool downs? When it comes water temperatures with our lake plunges, backyard outdoor showers, or cold plunge tanks, we go more by feel.

One of the great things about our fall saunas is that as we feel the water temperature go down, every new low becomes a new high.

Through the fall season, cool nights lead us is into a natural way to gradually build up our tolerance and appreciation of the cold. Whichever the lingo, be it leveraging contrast therapy, exercising the rubber band theory, repeating the word “hormesis” under our breath through extended exhales, one thing we know for sure: we appreciate the cold that nature provides us. Especially knowing that we are only steps away from our kick ass saunas. Bring on the cold water, we say.

After the warmth of summer, a fall sauna brings back the familiar. A fall sauna is like the return of an old friend.

Soon we will be chopping away a film of ice atop our lakes and cold plunge tanks. Yet for now, with fall saunas, every new low is a new high.
