Sorel Introduces SaunaBoot™ Line to Combat “Cold Feet” in Low-Bench Saunas
Portland, OR — In a bold response to one of the most heated issues in sauna culture, Sorel today announced the launch of its new SaunaBoot™ line: purpose-built footwear designed to keep feet warm in saunas where feet remain cold.
Long known for boots that thrive in extreme winter conditions, Sorel is now turning its attention indoors, specifically to the few sauna users who report “cold feet” due to poor heat stratification. While some bathers attempt to solve this by moving hot room air mechanically, or sitting sideways with their feet up, or on a purpose built footrests, Sorel has anything but “cold feet” with their new product launch.
The SaunaBoot™ features a heat-reflective liner, moisture-tolerant construction, and a proprietary “LöylyLock™” sole designed to trap rising heat where it matters most. Early prototypes have reportedly performed well in “suboptimal sauna environments,” particularly in several of the cost engineered sauna kits proliferating the market.
Sorel hopes to promote SaunaBoot™ by giving away 1,000 sauna hats at this years Sauna Days gathering, made from the same heat reflective liner material.
“Over the past few years, we’ve been monitoring forums and community discussions where users point to cold feet as a major issue,” said Erik Halvorsen, Sorel’s Director of Marketing for Thermal Environments. “And despite countless folks reporting that their feet don’t get cold, if it exists on social media forums, then it must be true.”
