How Stone Age man kept his pores clean… in the SAUNA

Sauna is a centuries old tradition.  This article from The Daily Mail, reporting on the recent discovery of a 4,500 year old sauna by the shores of River Avon in Wiltshire, England is further evidence.

We sauna enthusiasts are curious if archeologists also uncovered any evidence of either British Ale or Lager in or around the site.  We fully understand the health & wellness benefits to sauna, and stone age workers cleaning out their pores, yet we can also imagine our ancestors chilling out by the river’s edge with a beer in hand:

Grunt man #1:”Body stiff from moving Stonehenge rocks today.”

Grunt man #2: “Yes, sauna good.  Me hope wife not make dinner yet, me need another round.”
