So, I wake up one recent morning with the following email:
“I have a strange request. I realize you also live in South Minneapolis. Can you come over and sign your ebook for my husband?”
I thought this was a great request! Even better, we came up with a scheme that I would show up in their backyard and pretend to be a city building inspector.

After the muse, we stepped into Ceri’s family sauna which was still warm from a sauna session the night before.

Looking to build a backyard sauna in Minnetonka. Does SaunaTimes have a list of contractors in the Twin Cities that have experience? I just ordered the “Build Your Own” off the website for $20 and I may consider doing on my own. We just completed a backyard fireplace, bocce court and hot tub patio. All that remains to be done is a wood-burning sauna, but I may need some help!

Just finished my own backyard sauna. So appreciative of SaunaTimes for the solid instructions which allowed me to Finnish a dream! I love pulling into the driveway and seeing our new sauna…..makes me look forward to the coming winter! While cutting firewood today, I couldn’t help but dream about the heat…….thanks Glenn!
Hi- I’ve enjoyed my backyard sauna for 22 years. 15kw tylo Deluxe 10. Heater finally lost 2 elements. Electrician suggested new unit. (Same electrician that installed original). I found one at “Almost Heaven Sauna” He had a Tylo Deluxe 11. got it – hooked it up and it kept tripping breaker. Salesman says to go without GFI- electrician thinks that’s a bad idea. I sent the heater back, waiting for my 1500 dollars after the “re-stocking fee”. I’ve seen people go pro and con about GFCI. Just wanted another opinion. Oh yeah the new Tylo is not UL listed and my electrician does not like that. Thanks for reading!! Steve Little in Vermont…waiting for return to my sauna!! Is there a good brand that will work here??
